ORIGINAL VINTAGE MID CENTURY ENAMEL-ON-COPPER BOWL OR PLATE CREATED BY SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA ARTIST WIN NG! This exceptional enamel-on-copper bowl measures approximately eight- and one-half inches (8 1/2”) in diameter by one and one inch (1”) in height. Signed and numbered. Also “Made Especially for George Jensen”This is a gorgeous, shallow copper bowl with blue/green/red/gold enamel design by WIN "Winfred" NG (1936-1991). Very Good Condition.
“Enamel on copper dish by San Francisco sculptor and craftsman Win Ng (1930-1991). Ng studied at the SF Art Institute, Mills College, and with Peter Voulkos before embarking on a career as an enamellist, ceramist, and design entrepreneur. HIs enamel work dates to the 1960's. The present work, with deeply saturated greens and blues offset by bursts of marigold, was made for the Georg Jensen store in San Francisco. In fine original condition

“The second son of Chinese immigrants Fook On Ng and Kow Yuan Ng, Winfred Ng was born in San Francisco in 1936. While attending junior high school between 1948 and 1950, he worked as a “clean up boy” in the studio of Jade Snow Wong.”
