Warmth and Cheer customers love a unique, compelling boat theme item. This tray is exactly the style that appeals across so many decorating styles. A beautifully rendered painting of a sail boat, in full sail, effortlessly moving across the open water with flags billowing and clouds scuttling. Amazing piece of art work that someone added to a simple metal bar serving tray. Oh the creativity of people!I believe this was used as part of a gallery wall in a cottage at one time based on the hole in the top center for hanging and the other items at the particular Estate sale where I found it. I think that would be an amazing use for this piece. Add it to the wall in your den, mid-century bar area, game room or sun porch. The colors are perfect for summer - blues, whites and gold accents.
The piece is in decent condition. The tray is still very sturdy and not bent or dented. The tray has a 3/4" high lip that runs around the entire piece. It could be used for a tray for summer bbqs, if you did not want to put it on the wall.
The painting has areas where the paint has been scuffed. The bottom left hand corner and bottom center of the gold edge trim paint is fairly rough. There is also a couple of spots on the main sail that have paint missing. A few other random spots as well. You really don't notice them until you get up close. They could be touched up fairly easily, or left to add to the vintage charm. The piece is signed Emma in the lower right hand corner. The back of the tray has been painted off white and is in pretty clean condition.
