Collectible 1966 Army parachute with original Army Parachute Log Book attached. Manufactured in August 1966 by Manchester's Pioneer Parachute Company for the 82nd Airborne Division. Serial number 01232. Approximately 12.5 lbs, 19" x 10". Note - this item is sold as-is and may be missing pieces/parts. It is a vintage collectible and not suitable for use.T

The Pioneer Parachute Co. traces its roots to 1838 when five brothers formed the
Cheney Brothers silk mill in Manchester
. By 1920 it was the largest silk mill in the U.S., employing 4,700 workers.
The 82nd Airborne Division is an airborne
infantry division of the United States Army specializing in parachute assault operations into denied areas. Based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The 82nd Airborne Division os the U.S. Army's most strategically mobile division.
