Up for sale is a 3-item lot celebrating the home run achievements of Mark McGwire while with the St. Louis Cardinals.
All were purchased brand new by myself at the time of these achievements and carefully stored away as collectibles, never displayed.
The 1998 Mark McGwire 70 HOME RUNS Full Wheaties Box, Never Opened. This is a regular 18 ounce sized box. When I purchased it new off the shelf, I wrapped it immediately in shrink-wrap.
The "Mac" Beanie Baby is an official Ty product. Birth date of "Mac" is indicated as June 10, 1998 . . copyright 1999. Still has all original tags.
The action figure and trading card set were produced by the Hasbro Company. Copyright date on the hanging card is 1999. Neither the card nor the figure have ever been removed from the hanging display card. Both in mint condition.
Mark McGwire (born October 1, 1963) is nicknamed "Big Mac". As a first baseman, McGwire played in Major League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals between 1986 and 2001. In 1998, McGwire achieved national fame for his home run-hitting prowess in pursuit of Roger Maris' single season home run record; McGwire broke the record and hit 70 home runs that year.
