A beautiful
collectors example of an original leather buffalo/bison footstool very large and very rare. This v
intage
d
esigned by Dimitri Omersa and distributed by Abercrombie and Fitch amongst others is circa 1960s to 1970s and depicts a handsome American bison or buffalo, measures 32 inches long by 21 inches tall by 15 inches wide. Wear is consistent with age and use but overall in nice condition with age appropriate wear. Please see all pics including back, nose, mange and tail. Deep warm mahogany color. The example is signed with the "Made in Englan" sticker label, (the d is missing in England and a crease between the l and n as shown). The buffalo has the early nail heads under its feet and is covered in beautifully aged and is lightly patinated.
Some creative ways to use an Omersa is as an ottoman next to a coffee table, a designer footstool for a reading
chair or to display handsomely on a bookshelf or desk. Each one of the Omersa was hand-made of the highest quality leather, beautifully stained and waxed, this one approximately 50 to 60 years ago.
