    Description

Hygrophila pinnatifida originates from India. It obtains brown, patched leaves on the surface with a distinctive burgundy color underneath. It creates horizontal side shoots and the top shoots should be pinched out in order to maintain compact and attractive growth. The horizontal side shoots easily attach to both wood and rocks. Growth is moderate, stems 15-40 cm tall and 10-20 cm wide, and the colour is attractive when planted in small groups with a plain background. Intense lighting ensures compact growth due to the plant's slow to medium growth rate.

    Submerged
    Submerged
    plants are plant

    fully
under water level. Plants grow under water needs more care, clean environment,
    sufficient
    light and
    nutrient
to keep it growing healthy. Since plant already in its submerged form, it won't need a long transition period like emerged grow plants and ready to grow when they are moved to another submerged environment.
    Emerged
    Emerged
plants, most widely sold on the market, means plant that grow above the water level.
    Emerged
plant does not need much care and grow much faster. However,
    emerged
growth is much different physically than submerged growth.
Plants grown emerged will often die back and look completely different when they grow back in their submersed form, which take weeks or even months.
    Tissue Culture
Tissue culture is techniques used to grow plant under sterile conditions on a nutrient culture medium. Although plants looks great in vitro, the stems are weak and most likely melt when planting into aquarium due to environmental differences.
