Description
Ludwigia repens, or Water Primrose, is a beautiful freshwater aquarium plant that originates from the tropical North and Central American waters. It is an amphibious plant that will grow either partially or fully submersed. In its fully submersed form, its spade-shaped leaves range in color from dark green to brownish-red. The top of the leaves are typically olive green in color, whereas the undersides are reddish-brown to deep red. The vibrancy of this plant depends greatly on the amount of light it receives. When poorly illuminated, the colors will fade. The Ludwigia repens makes a good mid-ground plant in the average aquarium, or even placed as a background in the smaller aquarium. They do require a high light intensity of 3 to 5 watts per gallon of full spectrum (5000-7000K) light. This plant does prefer a nuetral pH and moderately soft water, and will accept a wide temperature range. Reproduction occurs during the warm season when the plant is fully mature. Shortly thereafter, seeds will develope and drop to the substrate, where they will begin to grow into a new plant. To propogate the Ludwigia repens, simply cut branches or the top of the plant, and plant the stem into the substrate. Be sure to remove the leaves from the last node on the bottom of the stem to insure proper root growth. The Ludwigia repens benefits from regular addtions of CO2, iron rich fertilizers, and trace elements.

LIVESTOCK
We guarantee live arrival on all of our livestock. In the rare event livestock shows up dead, we must be notified within 24 hours. Keep in mind these plants just took the journey of their lifetime in a dark box for 2-4 days so they will take time to recover and be at their best again. Please Take clear photos of the dead product and send it to us within 24 hours of receiving the item and once the item is validated by us we will send a replacement or refund minus the cost of shipping. Failure to comply with one or more of these policies will mean we can no longer cover you.
If you are concerned about extreme heat or cold, we highly recommend having the post office hold your mail for the estimated delivery day. This is a completely free option which can be requested online via www.usps.com or in person at your local post office. This way, your package will remain indoors, protected, and out of the elements for you to pick up once the package has arrived.
We guarantee live arrival of all live stock. This means we assure that live stock will show up alive. We do not guarantee your success in keeping the livestock alive/healthy. Lots of outside factors that we cannot control go into the success or failure of keeping livestock healthy. We are here to help but are not liable after you have received the livestock alive.
