NOTICE:
This car is being sold as it appears in the auction, not as a restored car. It was a very original car when disassembled. The car is assembled for pictures and ease of transport, it is not a running driving car. The owner that contracted us to restore the car, has had a change of heart, so it is being presented up for auction. Other than the drivetrain, everything is in original condition and needs restored. All of the hard to find parts are here and very restorable.
The engine and transmission are correct and date coded for the car, but DO NOT match the VIN, and are NOT ORIGINAL to the car.
This is the most solid 1971 Challengers we have ever had the pleasure of working on. It still retains every single piece of sheet metal it started life with, except for the rear valance, which is an AMD reproduction. We had this car and all of
its
original sheet metal parts chemically dipped. Small patches were installed at the bottom of one quarter panel (photos upon request). The trunk floor is even original. The car was prepped and has been epoxy coated with PPG-DP90LF. All of the sheet metal has been reinstalled and aligned, for the most part. Some final alignment will be needed prior to mud work.
