Followers of the Oldsmobile brand know that the W-30 was the top dog, but it's also known that those legendary muscle cars are hard to come by and tend to break the bank when they do hit the market. A faithful tribute is the next best thing, so how about this slick 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 Tribute, wearing gorgeous black paint and packing a thundering 455 V8 big block under the hood? Timeless design with plenty of performance at a fraction of the cost of the real thing? Yes please!
If you're an Olds fan, you'll recognize the body lines underneath the sinister black paint right way. Between the red hood stripes and rear trunk outline, the twin forced-air scoops under the front bumper, the egg crate front grilles, the red inner fenders, and the dual trumpets in the rear bumper, this tribute has every visual trick Oldsmobile used to get buyers into the showrooms to get a look at the top-dog W-30. And they all work quite well to recreate one of the most eyeball-grabbing pieces of muscle ever offered in the era. It's an original California car, so it was super-solid before the restoration even began, but that doesn't mean the builders weren't comprehensive in their approach to refreshing this beast. The work was very well done not too long ago by someone who knew Oldsmobiles inside and out, so it looks the way the factory might have built it back in '69. Admittedly, it's not subtle so don't expect to keep a low profile, but if it's attention you crave, this car will do it better than most. The paint and bodywork are incredibly nice, finished to a top-end driver-quality standard that's borderline show in most circles. The black finish is miles deep and shines up beautifully, easily reflecting our own photo booth in every panel, and the bright chrome and '442' and 'W-30' badges provide the perfect contrast.
An equally large amount of time and money was spent on making the interior of this Olds just right, and the black buckets, center console, and rear bench all look great. Everything is quite correct and a nice complement to the bodywork, and there's no question you're sitting inside a performance car when you get behind the wheel and feel that the wooden shifter in your hand. Optional Rally Pack gauges are set inside three sporty pods, and the entire dash is an awesome combination of black vinyl, woodgrain applique, and aluminum accent trim. A trio of auxiliary gauges were mounted under the dash, an OEM four-spoke leather-rimmed steering wheel looks properly sporty at the head of the cockpit, and the woodgrain trim on the center console ties the cabin together nicely. Like most vintage performance cars, options are sparce but you do get a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, a working heater/defrost unit, and seatbelts fore and aft. Out back, the trunk lays bare the incredibly solid pans on this Cutty, and it comes outfitted with heavy-duty mats and spatter paint that will preserve the metal forever.
The reason you build a 442 W-30 tribute like this is horsepower, and lots of it. The 455 Oldsmobile V8 packs a tremendous punch and runs well, all thanks to a big 4-barrel carburetor atop an Edelbrock aluminum intake, just in case you were feeling light on torque. Those red inner fenders are correct for a W-30 and make for a clean presentation and the red block is dressed up with Rocket Gold valve covers and an original, dual-snorkel air cleaner. A big aluminum radiator keeps the big block cool and the dual exhaust with twin Magnaflow mufflers ends in stainless trumpets under the rear bumper. Tubular A-arms, front and rear sway bars, closed-in rear trailing arms, fresh shocks and springs, power front disc brakes, and power steering mean that this Olds is built for fun, not just static display. Shiny Cragar wheels spice things up and wear Cooper Cobra white-letter radials all around to finish the look.
Offered with its original purchase receipt, owner's manual, and Protect-O-Plate, this 442 W-30 Tribute is a timeless design powered by a legendary motor. Does it get any better for American muscle cars? Call today!

We recognize the need for complete transparency when buying/selling vehicles on eBay. That said, we did not build, modify, or have the luxury of personal ownership that would give us the advantage of knowing all unknown aspects of each vehicle. Transparency is king and we're happy to try and answer ALL questions our customers might have prior to purchasing. Additionally, we welcome and encourage independent inspections (see Inspection statement below).
    FEES
: A documentation fee of 9 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale. Sale price does not include any Title, License, Registration, State or Local Taxes or Processing Fees. We recommend you familiarize yourself with your individual state's taxes, transfer, or additional fees.
    AVAILABILITY
: Please inquire prior to purchase to assure any advertised vehicle is not already sold. We advertise across multiple platforms where a vehicle can sell in a moment's notice. Vehicles may be sold prior to eBay listing end, and we reserve the right to end listings early or to cancel bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.
    CONTACT
: Note that you may hear from us after to the sale, but if you are a winning bidder, click a Buy-It-Now, or we accept your eBay Offer, it is your responsibility to contact us within 24 hours.
    INSPECTION
: VERY IMPORTANT. If a buyer chooses to buy sight unseen (many of our buyers choose this option) the buyer accepts the vehicle AS-IS and understands we cannot address concerns post sale. For this reason, it's important all concerns are addressed prior to purchase. We make every effort to present accurate and reliable information, but use of this information is voluntary, and should only be deemed reliable after an independent review of its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale.
    PAYMENT
: We require a non-refundable 0 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears). We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. SHIPPING: We have access to a network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway and upon your schedule. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. Buyers are welcomed to trailer vehicles home and we are happy to have everything ready to see you off with your new vehicle.
    DRIVE IT HOME
: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.
    DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE
: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.
    VIN VERIFICATION
: We photograph the primary VIN location of every vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title. Buyer agrees to hold seller harmless from any disputes arising from other hidden or secondary VINs present on the vehicle as seller only verifies the primary VIN location. If needed, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify secondary VIN locations their specific state may inspect, prior to purchase.
    MILEAGES
: Occasionally our vehicles may be driven or simply moved around our facilities. Slight differences may occur so we recommend you confirm actual and current miles prior to purchase.
    CONDITION
: We cover the obvious and do our best to describe our vehicles in detail. Even so, please have a transparent conversation with us before purchasing. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Finally, be advised that although our sales associates are here to assist you with your purchase, they are not trained or certified vehicle inspectors.
    AS-IS
: All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied. If you choose to waive inspection, do plan to have a detailed and transparent conversation with us regarding the vehicle's condition. Ask the hard questions up front. Please just call us, we are here to help and welcome all your questions!
