movie advertisement which I was able to rescue from an old piece of newspaper dated June 22, 1930. Unlike the newspaper scrap from which this piece was salvaged, this 4 x 7 inch ad is exceptionally clean and in remarkable condition. It features
Sophie TUCKER
(1887 - 1966), one of the most popular entertainers of the early 20th century. She was affectionally nicknamed
"The Last of the Red Hot Mama's".
This film,
"Honky Tonk"
was released in late August of 1929 and is noted as being her film debut. I have this rare, displayable, and collectable advertisement encased in a plastic sleeve and firmly secured to a sturdy backing. More importantly,
