    Description

THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY BOUND IN A BOOK AND THERE ARE THREAD HOLES IN THE SPINE OF THE 16-PAGE COLOR ANNOUNCEMENT. ALL DAMAGE IS RESTRICTED TO THE SPINE BUT THERE IS ALSO A VERTICAL FOLD THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOOKLET. EACH PAGE MEASURES 9" X 12"
THIS INCLUDES BOTH THE SIXTEEN PAGE PROMOTIONAL BOOKLET AND THE 4-SIDED COPY OF THE "EXHIBITORS DAILY REVIEW AND MOTION PICTURES TODAY PAPER DATED FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 1929. (PHOTO 1, 10 & 11). THE TOP OF THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEWSPAPER REFLECTS THAT "
    EDUCATIONAL PROCLAIMS ITS PRODUCT".
The four sided newspaper includes numerous articles on film with a front page article on Warner and RKO fighting it out, an article on "television" in 1929. The second page reflects the stock prices of the film companies just a few months before the Great Crash. There are a number of tears on the back sheet but everything is present. In this way you get both the gorgeous color announcement of 16 pages and the historical text to place a precise date on its release.
This is a 16-sided piece and the photos here show all sixteen sides. There are two condition issues
1- The piece was previously bound into a book and the spine has multiple thread holes and 5 larger holes where heavy twine was tied. The spine is otherwise intact.
2- The entire piece has a vertical fold through the center.

I purchased a collection of books and other items from the estate of the owner of a former New York City bookstore named Cinemabilia at 10 West 13th St , run by
    Ernest D. Burns
.  It was located in Greenwich Village in the 1970's and 1980's and, I believe, closed down in 1987 (These books have been packed in boxes since 1987). It included primarily books on film, but also opera and puppets. Many of the books I will be listing are "new old stock" in that they were never sold. When his store closed down, he boxed everything up and they have spent the last thirty years boxed and/or bagged. As many were bagged, they will retain the brand new crispness of the jacket and pages, with many of the books clearly having never been opened until I did so to inspect and photograph them for purposes of identification. Those that were not bagged may have dusty edges or toning to the edges of the jackets and pages. If that is the case, I will describe them as such. Most of the new books that I have were printed in the 1970's and 1980's and  I will also be listing many used books as this was also a used bookstore. I also have a bunch of signed books. While Adolph Zukor's autograph has gone down in value, that of Veronica Lake has increased. Since my "store" is limited to 1,000 free listings, the books will be listed also on my wife's account and the best way to find my listings will be to search the name that is printed above in bold letters & underlined; and include "description" in the search.  PLEASE NOTE that I cannot combine shipping from different sellers. I am only beginning to list them in late 2017 and it will likely take me several months to get them all up.  For many of these unsold books, the worst issue will be that there was a price label on the book somewhere, sometimes on the front paste down. While the labels come right off, they will have left discoloring behind. Again, if that is the case, I will mention it.
I utilize a third party EBAY supplied shipper for international sales. This is part of the Global Shipping Program. Please note the actual shipping cost before purchasing. That is not my shipping fee and I neither receive it nor know what the amount is. I have no control over import fees that may be charged.
Please do not commit to "buy it now" until you have seen the shipping amount that you will be charged. Thank you.
For International Buyers:  Media Mail shipments only. Please note that, although you are likely paying very high shipping costs to have this item sent to you, I am not charging those costs. In the case of books, I utilize "media mail" to get the box to the third party shipper. "Media mail" is a very SLOW speed mailing process reserved for books and records that are potentially very heavy. If you cannot wait for my shipment to reach the third party shipper at a very slow pace, please contact me before purchasing and I can add a faster (and more expensive) alternative to the listing to get the item to the third party shipper

    MEDIA MAIL:
The USPS allows books, records and other media to be mailed at a cheaper price than typical mail. It tends to be a much slower mailing process than standard mail. In addition, any employee of the USPS can open the package at ANY time for ANY reason to verify that what is inside is what should be inside. In most cases, the item is properly repackaged but, in rare cases, it is not and an item can arrive damaged. As my feedback suggests, I package very carefully. If you receive a damaged item that has the appearance of having been poorly packaged, please contact me prior to leaving feedback so that it can be addressed.
