    Beautiful Mid-Century Modern pleated peach-colored starburst or fan-shaped clock by Spartus, in its original box. Unlike many of these clocks that are being sold as original, this one has not been converted to battery, it still has its original electric movement and hands. It runs quietly and keeps good time, the power cord is also in good condition. The clock is made of hard plastic and is in great overall condition, with no scrapes, scratches, nicks or repairs of any kind. The hands and the number markers are "chromed" and this coating shows some wear, I think it simply tends to disintegrate over time. The hands are plastic and the minute hand has one spot where the "chrome" has bubbled up. It would be fairly easy to redo with chrome paint, or could be painted with a color (MCM teal comes to mind!) as desired. Comes with the original box.
